Gooseberry Park is a heartwarming story of friendship, courage, and love. Stumpy the Squirrel is settled in her tree at Gooseberry Park as she prepares to have babies. Shortly after her baby squirrels Top, Bottom, and Sparrow are born, an ice storm hits and Stumpy suddenly cannot be found. Her dear friends Kona the loving labrador, Gwendolyn the wise hermit crab, and Murray the humorous bat come together to care for her babies and work to reunite the family of squirrels. This book is funny, charming, and it serves as a wonderful “feel good” story.
