The True Story of the Three Little Pigs

Author: Jon Scieszka

Illustrator: Lane Smith

Published in 1989 by Scholastic Inc.

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs puts a fun twist on the classic tale by telling the familiar story from the perspective of the wolf. Alexander T. Wolf, also known as Al, insists that he was simply visiting the pigs in search of a cup of sugar to bake a cake, but he had a cold with a powerful sneeze. He explains how his pursuit for sugar and his powerful sneezing caused him to be framed as the “Big Bad Wolf.” This silly story is an entertaining way to revisit a traditional tale from a different point of view.
